about
I like to call the final four songs on the record "The Quadrillogy." The four most personal songs on the album. Ironically, a song called "Adrenaline" was, for a long time, our slowest song. I have panic disorder, and have had it for as long as I can remember. For the longest time, I thought that maybe there was something I felt subconsciously guilty about, but nothing would make it go away and stay away. This song used to be hard for me to sing, as some of the lines made me uncomfortable (even though I wrote them). I'm happy to report that I've been in remission from my anxiety for about a year now. Never think that you're weak, and never think that getting outside help makes you a quitter.
lyrics
I’ve been talking to myself
Wishing I was somewhere else
When I die, I don’t know when
I can’t end, I’ve just began
Feeling like I can’t be here
My senses are no longer clear
I’ll atone for all my sins
Feel the heat; Adrenaline
I’ve been talking to myself
Wishing I was someone else
Catastrophic mysteries
and future insecurities
Feeling like I’ll soon be gone
Feeling like I can’t hold on
I atone for all my sins
Face the heat; Adrenaline
As my kingdom lays in shambles at my feet,
I put my head into my hands, admit defeat.
Killing demons seems to be just killing time.
Does the sentence fit the crime?
Feeling like my time has come
Knowing that my will is gone
I’ve atoned for all my sins
Feel the heat; Adrenaline
