about
The first song we ever wrote, way back in 2009. We were practicing in Eddie's Basement (really his den), and it was HOT. The first verse of this song was ad-libbed, and has stayed in the song unchanged since then, with the rest of the song written around it. Eventually we got the fan (and maybe a couple of fans), and the rest, as they say, is history.
lyrics
1! 2! 8! 12!
It is so hot in this place
The sweat is dripping down my face
Can we please get some AC?
Place it right here next to me
An audience of chairs and couches and TVs
We’re not famous and we might as well just face it
Maybe someday we will find a better way
Until then we have to practice in Eddie’s Basement, HEY!
Get us fans or just a fan
Help to cool this red hot band
There’s only two ways out of here
Fame and fortune or the stairs
An audience of only family and friends
We’re not famous and we might as well just face it
Maybe someday we will find a better way
Until then we have to practice in Eddie’s Basement, HEY!
2! 3! 4!
It is so nice in this place
It’s great for such an ugly space
We may never get no pay
But you gotta love it anyway
An audience of anybody who can care
We’re not famous and we might as well just face it
Maybe someday we will find a better way
Until then we have to practice in Eddie’s Basement, HEY!
An audience of anybody who can care
We’re not famous and by now you should just face it
Maybe someday we will find a better way
Until then we have to practice in Eddie’s Basement, HEY!
